You know how much we have loved the concerts we've had. If you have attended even one of our Sunday afternoon events, you know we can be expressive and passionate with our love and appreciation for the artists and what we're hearing from them.
Now we have the singular pleasure and honor of presenting again a man we love as a person and as an artist: Tamir Hendelman.
Other great artists love him too. He has worked recently with Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Jeff Hamilton, Graham Dechter, and Patrick Williams.
Tamir's latest, just-released CD, Destinations is going to rocket up the jazz charts and stay near the top for a while, just as his debut album, Playground, did 8 months ago.
Tamir swings in the deepest sense of the feeling represented by the word---impeccable rhythm and beautiful, fresh melodies: his playing is surprising, awesome in its precision, passion and unpredictability.
Seeing him solo is like sitting at the feet of great pianists from the past 100 years and getting a little treasure from each of them. He is a tremendous channel for the power of music.
The Atelier is becoming more and more known as a haven and an inspiration for artists and audiences both; please act quickly when you get these invitations; tickets will sell out.
As always, a piece of sculpture from Tanya Ragir Studios will be raffled to benefit Upward Bound House:
Please come join us for beautiful food, adult beverages, companionship, and incomparable music.
Looking forward to seeing you...
